Forms, Volume and Space
Artist Hélène Laplante’s animal sculptures are not mere portrayals of their flesh and hair counterparts. Made of white resin with vaporous outlines, they evoke their furtive, almost ghostly presence in wild surroundings that are their natural habitats. The multidisciplinary artist thus seeks to give expression to the animal spirit, through the use of inert material.
